The story takes place in the barbaric era of Yan Emperor and Huang Emperor. Just when many heroes were vying for supremacy in the Central Plains, the world-recognized leader, Emperor Shennong, passed away, and the heroes of the gold, wood, water, fire, and earth tribes were all ready to make a move. In the turbulent times, the young boy Tuoba Ye suddenly appeared and by chance obtained the dying inheritance of Emperor Shennong, thus starting a thrilling legendary journey.
